A SWEET-BITTER ME

A broken heart waiting to be glued
A scattered mind waiting for an inspiration
A sinking soul waiting for a pulling hand
A troubled body taking rest in a dream world
Chased away by the cruel hands of reality
A thousand sermons, believing in a change
Tears shed day and night
Lingering visions regardless of troubles shrouding it
The sight of folks progressing
A troubled heart shrouded by forged smiles
A three day warmth from three children
Consoling the heart for a jiffy
A sweet-bitter me
                                      By Nartey Romeo Akwetey

IN MY NEST by nartey romeo akwetey

Tears in my eyes
My fingers so cold as ice
My heart too much a price
My spirit broken thrice
My life uncertain as dice
All I ever did was to be nice

The wind of love blows my way
Sweetly and painfully my heart it slays
And soon my joy it takes away
Like in the month of may
When the rains leaves no space for the suns rays
U nto hope I cling and to manifestation I pray

My days are filled with miseries
My life based on forged memories
My heart so common as groceries
My book filled with so many love stories
My problem way too much for the fairies
This more than blood running through my arteries

To the distance I cry
To the near I try
Everything seems so dry
My visions draw nigh
My pain last for awhile
My tongue taste the bitterness of bile

Who shall understand my plight
Who shall lead me through this night
The battle too strong to fight
Just when all seemed right
And bright
My joy passes away like the blinds sight

This is not for the strong
Neither a punishment for my wrongs
This is a piece of my song
This is my crown of thongs
This is the sound of my gong
Saying to my troubles so long

Write for paint by nartey romeo akwetey

Here I sit in the middle of the night
And memories of my past keeps telling to fight
Reaching for the dreams once dreamed off
Regardless of them being tough
In the middle of my thoughts I stand
Earnestly seeking to hold your hands
Telling you tales of refreshing brand

Never ending tunes and melodies play
And symbols of love molded with clay
Adjusting the heart like tablets on a tray

Acquaintance of old
Demanding of stories yet untold
Just like by the fire side
Easy grand paa, take us on a ride
Listening to those stories
Easily brought back memories
Yawning, yet yearning for more

Saddled with so much to do
Opens ones spirit up as a great tool
Wondering how shes going to go about the painting
After all is written without fainting
Hetty must do it without panting

IT’S A NAME By Romeo Akwetey Nartey. Assissted by Siaw Agyemang

Getting a single moment with you is all I desire
Even if it means being a coward ten times and being brave once
Regardless of the sayings of the thousands;it might seem bizzare
This is something I have thought about;not once, not twice
Romeo might seem too fake a name, but I am me
Unacquainted with you, the more reason I want to
Days have gone by but what I feel is what I feel
Entangeled in my own thoughts

Simple is your smile
Endearing is your presence
Far from what they say, I am ready to walk a thousand more mile
Against all odds, I shall hold you even in your absence
Regarless of what you might say
Kindly deny me not of your footprint
Ordinary as I may seem, nerver say nay
Radiate your beauty on me, and it shall form a dint

Knowledge of your presence makes me freeze
Pretty is small a word to describe your beauty
Enthused  is me when you pass by;  a breeze
Never shall I stop gazing even till eternity
Days have gone by yet I stand at the center of my thoughts
Ever wishing for  such a moment

To that fair ladyA work by nartey romeo akwetey and akwasi siaw agyemang

They came in pair
But I noticed her
Not because she was fair
But  because she was there
Her smile put me in awe
Then I exclaimed  wow!!!
And she asked why?
And at once my lips went dry
To console myself in surprise, I said hi!!!
And soothingly replied, hey!!!

In nature’s bossom, I found
Again, her beauty I do profound
I yearn’d to talk but I’m bound
Still tried to speak
But fright was at its peak
Because blending with nature’s beauty
I find her much pretty
In that water, clear crystal
As a beautiful coloured petal
Became I frozen as a metal

A combined ideas
Made this art pleasing to the ears
My fair lady
These are thoughts and pens
from me and my buddy
